However, the scheming doesn’t stop as we continue to find new creative ways to make the most of our plot of land in Ladysmith BC, Vancouver Island. Maybe in another 10 years I will find time to actually finish my home!

We accommodated the goal of a low maintenance exterior by contrasting hardy panels and lap siding, in two colours, and installing a sloped metal shed roof with simple lines.

I am not interested in building a house that looks like the one down the street or that could have been made by any building company on the island. Instead I take put my heart into each custom home build, turning them into something exceptional.

The bathroom looks like a dream. The old-growth maple shelves mount to the tiles and look like they are floating. There are structural Douglas fir timber posts and beams throughout the home.

The Colonia home was intended to be a speculation home; however, during the building process my mother viewed the home and decided she wanted the house for herself!

The house features real hardwood floors, with 18-foot vaulted ceilings, quartz countertops, natural stone fireplace, painted maple cabinets and much, much more!
